Dates: January 29 - February 4, 2026
*This is an optional program in addition to the regular three-week program
Starting this year, we have newly introduced an additional one-week Off-Campus Study Program in addition to the regular three-week on-campus course-taking program. Students who wish to participate in the Off-Campus Study Program may do so by paying an additional fee, extending their stay to a total of four weeks. In this option, students will not only take courses and enjoy cultural experiences in Tokyo, but also join a study tour in Hiroshima.

<Fee-waived Exchange Spots>
Please contact us in advance if you wish to use the fee-waived exchange spots for your students participating in the Sophia Short-term Program. Only students from universities where there is a significant imbalance will be accepted into Short-Term Programs on exchange basis, so not all requests can be accepted.
When counting towards our student exchange balance, the ratio is as the following:
1 semester-exchange students = 2 Sophia short-term session participants.
Please reply to this e-mail with the number of students you wish to count towards the fee-waived exchange spots, and we will provide further nomination details along with a Nomination Sheet upon confirmation.
*Please note that the tuition waiver applies only to the three-week on-campus course-taking program. The optional one-week Off-Campus Study Program is at the students’ own expense.
