To expand the participants' international perspective on pharmacy education and practice and to provide exposure to US culture. The program is primarily focused on clinical pharmacy and therapeutics. The program is designed for international undergraduate pharmacy students.

Tentative curriculum and program activities:

Welcome reception
Overview of contemporay clinical pharmacy education and practice in US
Tours of Health Sciences and University Park campuses
Principles of patient assessment and medication counseling
Overview of principles pf medicinal chemistry
Introduction of new drug development process
Pharmacotherapy for selected common disease states, including group discussion and presentation of
related clinical cases
Tours of medical center pharmacies and selected outpatient community pharmacies
Closing reception with presentation of certificates of completion
Requirements:
Fluent English communication skills
Adequate financial resources for fees and other expenses
Tuition: $3200USD, including on-campus housing, program fees, airport transfers, and limited number of meals in conjunction with social/cultural activities
